Blowing Steam

I was going to make no mention whatsoever of the word 'football' but when I heard that the president himself was awarding about Rf 200, 000 to EACH player I just can't sit still. All I can say is we are truly and royally f*cked!!

I have already heard different views on this from work. Some say they deserve it. Other's agree but is of the opinion, considering at the current state of our country, that the amount a wee bit over the top.

There are people STILL living in makeshift homes after the tsunami and ours players get Rf 200,000 each. Like I said before we are truly and royally f*cked!!!

tsunami victims stay in frikkin' tents, but the government has money to blow on ugly "monuments" and a curry football tournament. its a damn shame.

of course when the football tournament came, nobody cared about the tsunami vics anymore. thats what i called partiotism.

Oh we've been royally f*cked long before; it's only now that we are coming to realise it. Wish I could say I was surprised.

i recently went to a small island where its people were struggling to raise Rf20,000 to open a library (ie buying a few books) for their school. apparently the govt's been promising them a library every year for the past 5 years and now they're sick of waiting and just wanna do it by themselves... how ironic...

this is a great article and thanks for visiting my blog.

@f i Я a s: Thank you firas. I seriously doubt our govt is that much bothered about libraries. Just look at the state of our """national library""""
